RevIQ ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") is a motorcycle companion app that helps you track fuel, maintenance, expenses, and ride history, and provides a health score and AI-generated tips for your motorcycle. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using RevIQ, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a) Account information
When you sign in with Google, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your name and Google profile information
- A unique user ID used to associate your data with your account
We use Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication (services provided by Google) to manage your account.
b) Data you enter into the app
RevIQ stores the information you choose to add, including:
- Motorcycle details (make, model, year, registration nickname, odometer)
- Fuel log entries (date, odometer, fuel quantity, price)
- Maintenance log entries (service type, date, cost, notes)
- Expense log entries (category, amount, date, notes)
- Ride log entries (title, distance, dates, start/destination, optional map links, optional ride cost)
This information is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account so it can sync across your sessions and devices.
c) Push notification token
If you enable reminders and notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging, which generates a device token so we can deliver maintenance reminders and insights to your device.
d) Purchase information
RevIQ offers an optional paid subscription and a lifetime upgrade ("RevIQ Pro"). Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate your subscription status. We do not collect or store your credit card or payment details — these are handled entirely by Google Play.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and keep your data tied to your account
- Store and display your logs, statistics, and ride history
- Calculate your motorcycle's health score and generate maintenance insights
- Send maintenance reminders and insight notifications (if enabled)
- Generate AI-powered tips relevant to your motorcycle and usage
- Validate and restore your RevIQ Pro purchases
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.
3. AI-Generated Tips and Data Sharing
To generate personalised tips, RevIQ sends a summary of your relevant motorcycle and usage data (such as service intervals, mileage trends, and maintenance status) to third-party AI providers:
- Google Gemini API (primary)
- Groq (fallback)
This data is sent only to produce a tip in response and is not used by us to identify you to those providers. Your use of these AI features is also subject to those providers' respective terms and privacy policies:

5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account), which removes your personal data and logs from our systems.
Note: Records of completed purchases may be retained by Google Play and RevenueCat as required for billing, tax, and legal compliance, even after account deletion.

6. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures provided by Google Firebase to protect your data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
RevIQ is intended for motorcycle owners and is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
