Privacy Policy

Restoria (“Restoria”, “we”, “us”) is an AI photo restorer that helps you repair, sharpen and upscale your photos. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We built Restoria to treat your photos — and your privacy — with care.

1. Information we collect

Photos you choose to enhance

When you select a photo (or take one) to restore, un-blur or upscale, that image is sent to our processing service to generate the enhanced result. We only ever process photos you actively choose within the app — Restoria does not scan, browse or upload your photo library in the background.

Purchase information

If you buy credits or the ad-free option, the purchase is handled by the app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). We receive a purchase token / transaction identifier to verify the purchase and add credits to your balance. We never receive or store your full card number or payment details — those stay with the store.

Device and usage information

• Anonymous app identifier. To keep track of your credit balance and free daily uses, the app signs in anonymously (via Firebase Authentication) and is assigned a random identifier. This is not linked to your name or email.
• Advertising identifier. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad to earn a free use, our ads provider (Google AdMob) may access your device's advertising ID to serve and measure that ad.
• Diagnostics. We may collect basic, aggregated crash and performance data to keep the app stable.

2. How your photos are handled

This is the part that matters most, so we'll be specific:

• The photo you select is transmitted securely to our backend and to our AI processing provider (Replicate) solely to produce the enhanced version.
• The enhanced result is returned to your device. When you tap Save, the photo is stored on your device (your gallery and the app), not on our servers.
• We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell, license or publish your photos.
• Images are processed transiently for enhancement and are not kept in a long-term photo archive by us.

3. How we use information

• To provide the core service — restoring, un-blurring and upscaling the photos you submit.
• To maintain your credit balance, free daily uses, and ad-free status.
• To verify purchases and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To serve rewarded ads if you choose to watch them.
• To fix bugs, improve reliability, and keep the app secure.

4. Third-party services

Restoria relies on a small number of trusted providers to operate. Each processes data only as needed for its function:

• Google Firebase (authentication, cloud functions, hosting) — anonymous sign-in and backend infrastructure. See Google's Privacy & Security.
• Replicate — runs the AI models that enhance your submitted photo and returns the result. See Replicate's privacy policy.
• Google Play Billing / Apple App Store — process payments for credits and the ad-free option.
• Google AdMob — serves optional rewarded ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Sharing and selling of data

We do not sell your personal information or your photos. We share information only with the service providers listed above, only to the extent needed to run Restoria, or where required by law.

6. Data retention

Photos are processed transiently to generate a result and are not retained by us in a long-term archive. Saved photos live on your own device. Anonymous account records and purchase/credit records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service, honor your purchases, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and backend access is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Your choices and rights

• You control which photos are ever submitted — nothing is processed unless you choose it.
• You can reset your advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in your device settings.
• You can uninstall the app at any time to stop all data collection.
• Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR / CCPA), you may have rights to access or delete data associated with your app instance. Contact us and we will help.

9. Children's privacy

Restoria is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the app or on this page.
